You can attend a monthly gathering with others living with all types of cancer, their family members and friends. Small groups of 8-10 foster the development of friendship, support and encouragement. It's also an opportunity to gain information and learn new skills and techniques on living with cancer. Topics are selected based on member's interests, and may include stress reduction, nutrition, yoga, pain management or other suggested topics.
Visit our Cancer Survivors' Association Facebook Page for current event information.
*The Support Group does not meet during the months of July and August.
Tote Bags of Hope
You are often shocked and overwhelmed when you or a family member hears the words, "You have cancer". Our Tote Bags of Hope program has been developed to provide Centre County, PA survivors with emotional support, resources and encouragement as you begin your cancer journey. The Tote Bag of Hope includes a Treatment Organizer notebook that will help you organize information related to your diagnosis, treatment, appointments, test results and follow-up care as well as a blanket and water bottle.
If you are a resident of Centre County, PA and have not received a "Tote Bag" please contact us at 814-237-2120 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we will provide you with one.
Join us for a Celebration Reception because we all have something to celebrate. Whether it is finishing your treatment, reaching a cancer anniversary milestone, making it to a special event, or just getting through the day we would love for you to share it with us. There are two celebration receptions each year. In November we have our Dinner of Thanks and in June we have our Celebration Picnic.
